Andechs Monastery
Thousands of persons follow the pilgrimage climb of the “Holy Mountain” every year. Since 1455, Benedictine monks are in charge on an elevated location between Lake Ammersee and Lake Starnberg. One of the attractions is the famous Andechs strong beer in the beer garden and in the beer hall. In the beautiful monastery church, where the interior is furnished in rococo style, St. Mary and a treasure of relics are venerated.
